The Silver Stag Inn Ludroff kicked in the pair of double doors and takes a look around the Silver Stag. The place looked like it had some rough characters in it, but then again most taverns do. He catches a glimpse of a quite attractive barmaid, scantly clad at that and he grins some. Yes, this did seem like the place for him, a place for adventurers to share their tales, be recruited for some rich mans vengeful desires, or just kick back and enjoy the atmosphere and ale. He walks over to the bar, offering a glance to the job board along the way and takes a seat. "Gimme a Kethmar Black” he says to a passing barmaid in an accent that would befit such an adventurer. The girls smiles to him humbly and before long a mug of dark fluid is placed before him on the counter. Ludroff drops a few coins on the counter, and turns looking about the dimly lit place. He was new here, and he figured if one such as himself was to survive, he'd need allies and business partners and from what he's heard, the Silver Stag seemed to be just the place to do it… The Silver Stag Inn The Silver Stag Inn is a well known bar in the city of Kethmar as well as some of the surrounding area. It gets it's notoriety as being a hub for many mercenaries and other such swords for hire. The prices are reasonable, the ale isn't bad, and the barmaids are pretty. Running the Inn is a large bulky man named Kardale that doesn't allow any fighting in his tavern and promptly escorts, or hurls, any outside that do. Upon walking into the Stag, customers will notice several booths to their right, a fire place with a few couches around it against the back wall, a slightly elevated stage to the left of that and then some stairs heading up to the next floor. On the back side of the stairs, against the wall is a large painted target for people to throw darts or daggers at. Just to the left of the door is a large job board where many announcements, bounties, and other jobs are posted. Next to that is a long bar, opposite from the stage. Behind the bar is a doorway back into the kitchen as well as a small window with a shelf where orders are placed when ready from the kitchen. Inside the kitchen is a small doorway and some steps that lead down into a wine cellar of sorts, for cool food storage. At the far left of the bar is a section that lifts up so the bartender or barmaids can walk out onto the tavern floor to deliver orders ect. This opens into a hallway that leads back some to a pair of bathrooms, another job board, and a backdoor that leads out to some stables. The Stag is lit by several hanging lanterns from the flat ceiling, showing only the beams that give support for the upper floors. During the day, these lanterns and the fire create the dark glow of the tavern and during the day the window are open to let the light in. Outside the Stag is a wrapping around porch area, under the overhanging above floor. There are several benches and the periodic beam to support the upper floor. Upstairs there are three floors of rooms, the second floor, consists of the luxurious rooms and a small public bath. This public bath is a large room with a tiled floor that slants lightly towards the wall for water to drain out small spouts. In the center of the room is a raised area, with a large water filled area in it. The bath is large enough for several people at once, if they weren't too shy. The water is kept warm from hot air rising up from the main fireplace downstairs. Several benches surround the bath for people to sit, dry off, and cloth themselves on. Outside this public bath is a hall that leads the rest of the length across the building. On either side of it and at the end are several of the best rooms in the Silver Stag. These luxurious rooms include a nice large bed, a small desk with parchment, ink, and quills, a bedside lantern, as well as a large personal fireplace with a couch and a few chairs surrounding it, and a private bathroom including a washbasin, large tub, and running water. Upstairs on the third floor are the good rooms, with also have a small fireplace, a large bed and a private bathroom, however these rooms lack any couches or chairs and only have a small desk, without any supplies in it. The fourth and final floor consists of the cheap rooms which really aren't much besides a small single bed, chair, nightstand, and a vent to let warm air rise from the other floors for heating. Help support Kethmar it's less painful than you'd think. |
